Dr Nicole Everitt

Dr Nicole Everitt is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology Honours) and a Doctorate of Psychology (Clinical). She is also an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society.

Nicole has gained experience in working with adolescents and adults from a variety of backgrounds and is trained to deliver a variety of psychological interventions. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), however she tailors her approach to the individual needs of each client, incorporating aspects of schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness as appropriate. As a firm believer in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the capability of her clients, Nicole works with her clients to find an approach that suits them and will help them develop a sense of understanding and compassion for their difficulties.

With her combination of empathy, practicality, and light-heartedness, Nicole aims to help her clients feel capable of understanding their experiences, managing challenging emotions, acknowledging and reframing unhelpful thinking patterns, and altering behaviours that are no longer serving them.
