Mr Joshua Hobson
Mr Josh Hobson is a Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, who works with adolescents and adults. He is understanding and supportive, and brings a professional and compassionate approach to his work with clients.
Josh has previous experience working with clients of differing ages and clinical backgrounds, and is experienced in providing effective, evidenced-based treatments and strategies for a range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, grief, anger, low self-esteem, pain, and sleep difficulties. In his work with clients, Josh integrates aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based treatments, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based therapy, and feedback-informed therapy.
Josh has developed a cognitive restructuring psychology worksheet for children, gained accreditation as a provider of the evidenced based Triple P Parenting Program, co-facilitated the Tuned in Program (an emotional regulation program aimed to reduce academic anxiety in teenagers in school) and co-facilitated the Learn to Focus program (a program designed to improve attentional skills and emotional regulation in 13 year old males).
Josh enjoys working with clients to identify their inner strengths and to bring these strengths into therapy, so that people can bring about the change that they want to see in their lives.
