Dr Mary Samuhel
B. A (Hons), M.A (Clin Psych), Phd, MAPS
Dr Mary Samuhel is a clinical psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has had over 20 years experience working in public mental health, academic and private practice settings.
She works with adult clients, experiencing a range of mental health conditions. She has had specialist training in areas of ante and post natal depression/anxiety, gender dysphoria, adjustment to medical illness like cancer, and issues impacting parenting and attachment.
Mary uses evidenced based practice, with a strong grounding in cognitive behavioural therapy. She tailors treatment to individual client needs and goals, and incorporates aspects of mindfulness, schema or compassion work into her therapy.
Her approach is professional, client centred, solution focused, warm with a good sense of realism and humour.
