V & E Psychology is a private psychology service and fees do apply. We try to keep our fees as low as possible and our psychologists are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality mental health care at affordable prices.

We have reduced fees and bulk-billing options for patients with a valid health care or pension card.

Standard session fees

• A 50 minute session with a General Psychologist is $150.00 (the Medicare rebate is $86.15)
• A 50 minute session with a Clinical Psychologist is $180.00 (the Medicare rebate is $126.50)

Reduced session fees (for concession card holders only)
• A 50 minute session with a General Psychologist is $120.00 (the Medicare rebate is $86.15)
• A 50 minute session with a Clinical Psychologist is $160.00 (the Medicare rebate is $126.50)

Bulk-billing (for concession card holders only)

Some of our psychologists offer bulk-billing to concession card holders under a Mental Health Care plan. Bulk-billing is offered at the psychologist's discretion, and is subject to patient's personal circumstances and availability. 

Medicare rebates are available provided that patients have a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan from their doctor, and have not exceeded their maximum of ten psychology sessions per calendar year. Rebates from private health funds may also be available; however, you must contact your provider to submit these claims.

All payments for the above services must be made at the time of consultation. Payments may be made by cash or EFTPOS.

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist; however, a substantial proportion of your session fees may be reclaimed through Medicare or private health funds if you do have a valid referral.

Work cover, TAC, DVA and EAP session fees

Approved Workcover, DVA, EAP and TAC patients do not have any out of pocket expenses for psychology sessions. For Workcover, DVA and TAC sessions we require a letter of approval for psychology treatment sessions from your case-manager and a referral from your GP prior to the commencement of any psychological treatment. For EAP sessions we require written approval for sessions from your EAP provider. Billing for these services is handled by the clinic, directly with the appropriate fund provider or third party.

V & E Psychology has a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. Patients must provide at least 24 hours-notice if they are unable to attend a scheduled appointment.
