Ms Mirella Timi

Mirella Timi has always been passionate about being able to help people with their healing journey.

She is a General Psychologist who initially trained in the field of Organisational Psychology. She has worked with young adults, adults and senior members. She holds over 30 years of experience, skill and knowledge working in the psychological services which comprises of assessment (interviewing & testing) career guidance, counselling, reporting, and training.

She has worked in a Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation team, consulted, as well as been involved in various projects.  More recently, Mirella Timi has provided therapeutic counselling and psychosocial services under the Accessible Psychological Intervention program (API).

Mirella Timi can offer a tailored therapeutic approach.  Otherwise, her strengths are in Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy (NT) Interpersonal Therapy (IT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Mirella Timi has worked delivering mental health services within an array of private and government organizations and is aware of and understands multicultural aspects of mental health. She speaks Italian and has also completed Cultural Awareness of Mental Health Training at the Alfred Hospital as well as Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training by the Australian Indigenous Psychological Association (AIPA).

Furthermore, she has trained with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Trauma, Suicide Prevention, Prenatal Depression, and Domestic Violence and more.
